| Joseph
S. Neimat 2004 - has begun a fellowship in Functional Neurosurgery with
Dr. Andres Lozano of the University of Toronto. As
part of the fellowship he is investigating the differential effect of brain stimulation
parameters on movement elements in Parkinson's patients. |  |
| William
T. Curry, Jr. 2004 - joined the staff at MGH upon completion of his residency. Dr.
Curry joined the Brain Tumor Center specializing in Benign and Malignant Tumors
of the Brain, Spine and Spinal Cord Tumors, Neurofibromatosis, Immunotherapy for
Brain Tumors. |  |
| Steven
N. Kalkanis 2003 - is Physician-in-Charge, Division of Neurosurgery-Beaumont
Hospital; and Senior Investigator, Hermelin Brain Tumor Center at the Henry Ford
Health System. His clinical specialty is Neuro-oncology, brain and spinal cord
tumors. His current research involves Cell-based therapies for malignant brain
tumors. Dr. Kalkanis and his wife, Laurel, are the proud parents of a baby boy,
Nicholas. |  |
| Edward
R. Smith, 2003 - completed a Fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery at Children's
Hospital Boston with Dr. Michael Scott 2003-2004; He joined the staff at Children's
Hospital Boston in July 2004 and received an appointment to Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Smith's research area
is Matrix metalloproteinases in neurosurgical disease, angiogenesis and his clinical
specialty is Pediatric neurosurgery, tumor, cerebrovascular, neuroendoscopy.

| Sephideh
Amin-hanjani 2001 - is Assistant Professor, Department of Neurosurgery,
University of Illinois at Chicago, 2003-2004, returning 2005 after a fellowship
in Cerebrovascular and Skull Base Fellowship, Barrow Neurological Institute, 2004-2005.
Her research interests are Revascularization for vertebrobasilar disease, computer
modeling of cerebral blood flow, carotid disease and cognitive outcomes. |  |
