De rougemont MD is retired since 1991, formerly
a Professor De L'Univesite in Neurosurgery, Chief
of Service of Neurosurgery of the Center Hospital
University of Grenoble, Chevalier D L'order of Merite
Gerald
N. Gold MD retired from practice in 1999 and is
currently teaching people to use computers. He is
enjoying skiing, fishing and golf.
Allan
J. Hamilton MD is Professor of Surgery at the
University of Arizona Health Sciences Center where
he served as Co- chair . He received the Cosman Award
for Innovation in Neurosurgery in 1996, the Leskell
Award in 1995 and the Presidential Legion of Merit
in 2000. Dr. Hamilton remains happily married to wife
Jane, a clinical psychologist.

of three children, Josh, Luke, Tess. Lives on a small
ranch on the outskirts of Tucson raising horses, cattle
and bison.
Roberto
C. Heros MD served as President of the American
Association of Neurological Surgeons, 2002; and is

Wayne Hurt MD completed a four-year term as chairman
of the Department of Surgery at Christus St. Joseph

Hospital in 2003 where he is currently chief of Neurosurgery
and a member of the Medical Exeutive Committee. Dr.
Hurt is also Director of the Neurosurgical Center for
Pain Treatment and Research supported by a foundation.
In addition he has maintained a general neurosurgical
practice in Houston for the past 28 years.
Dr. Hurt says: "I have tried to follow the tradition
of Dr. Sweet in performing radiofrequency trigeminal
rhizotomy for about 2000 patients with trigeminal neuralgia
and about 140 patients with chronic cluster headaches.
I am collecting and analyzing data from thisr series
and hope to publish soon.
Recently Sharon Ann and I celebrated our 42nd wedding
anniversary and our three sons, Nathaniel, Silas and
Andrew are pursuing their own careers in Houston. No
grandchildren yet, but the eldest, Nathaniel,. married
Rebecca in 2003. We treasure our friendship with many
neurosurgical MGH Alumni and hope to keep in touch indefinitely
